Power Brake Booster Exchange on Two Guys Garage TV show

Booster Mark and Booster Steve have been busy lately!

This has been an awesome summer. Between Filming Two Guys Garage and Graveyard Carz, ( Motortrend TV), attending car shows, helping folks get the boosters alive and kicking, its been great. Our team loves being a part of your project getting the ole cars up and going and stopping of course : )

Booster Mark and Booster Steve went to Florida with our wives, to be guests of Kevin and Willie B on "Two Guys Garage" Tv Show. We talked about brake boosters and worked on a GTO. Be sure to watch for them on Motortrend Tv, 10/13/2024 10:00 am Sat, 10/19/2024 1:30 am Sat, 11/16/2024 1:30 am Sat, 12/12/2024 10:00 am Sun,- We are working on more shows to come.

Also we have heard an update from Jeff the Executive Producer and Mark Worman of "Graveyard Carz" , They are working on putting the episode together we will be on, they said stay tuned, it's worth the wait!!

BOOSTER TIP-

When you send in a booster or go buy a core at a swap meet, - Be sure to check a few things. Here is a sample of a booster we got in, customer said it was in good shape, the booster came in just thrown in a box, not packaged properly or checked for condition pre shipped, as you see when we pulled back the boot, it revealed a cracked and broken hub, now it became more expensive for the customer to have the booster restored.

Its always a good idea to check the hub before purchasing a core, simple checks like this would have saved the customer money, pass on this one and get a better one.

INTERNAL RUST- THE BOOSTER KILLER YOU CANT SEE

One of the main killers of a booster is internal rust, which you just cant see, when looking at boosters, ask questions such as was the booster stored outside or inside, - as the photo shows, when a booster has been exposed to rain or rough weather, it gets water internally, it rots the shells from the inside out and destroys the internal components as you see, sometimes to the point where the booster is not restorable such as this one, so sad.

Sometimes just a simple shake as you are looking at a booster core can give you some ideal of the condition inside, if rust comes out or sounds like marbles inside, better to move on and find a better one, its always hard to break the news to a customer that the booster they just spent good money on is no good and we will need another core.

PBBE - AT THE 37th ANNUAL ALL FORD / MUSTANG SHOW IN WASHINGTON

Dick Knight (Gold Card Judge and prominent Mustang Builder) reached out to us and asked if we could be at the show and connect with Mustang and Ford Buddies, of course we said yes, we would be honored to be there. Our team had a great time, we had a chance to talk to folks in reference to boosters. Its awesome being part of the Mustang community and seeing the Mustangs in their glory, the hoods up, showing off the boosters and the other great work they have done on the cars! OH Ya, when Dick needs a booster restored, he comes to PBBE, Thank you Dick for believing in us.

Now for some fun info on our "Booster nuts"

"Booster Nuts"- They are always on display when you come into our main lobby, We always get smiles and chuckle on this, it makes our booster buddies day ! This of course is our shop car on display for all to see!

As many of you know we always try to do a little something on every shipment, Yup, thats it the "booster nuts" , We send out our own bag of Booster nuts with each shipment, once in a while our warehouse runs out of stock , Yikes, boy do we hear about it, - We get the call , where is my Booster Nuts? Solution- We are getting cases as a time, and keeping with the tradition of hand stamping the labels.

A bit of Booster nut Triva, Guess how this got started??, Booster Steve used to have his daughter come in to the shop when she was young girl, he wanted to keep her busy, He came up with having Maggie Stamp a label and apply it on the special bag of booster nuts, Oh SHE thougt it was the greatest thing, and of course Dad paid her, so it really was special, so of course we have kept the tradition going for many years, Maggie is all grown but we kept it going, the label is still made using the same rubber stamp she used, - Best part- Love to get the phone calls from you all saying - Got my booster nuts, thank you,-- You made my day : ) - Thank you Maggie for starting the tradition!!!!
